Aulis
Product development and ideation
You have a product idea, but committing to manufacturing feels risky: will it sell, and how will it be made?
The problem
You have a product idea, but committing to manufacturing feels risky: will it sell, and how will it be made?
What Aulis does
Product ideation, product concept, sketches, 2D/3D modelling, manufacturability, materials (wood, metal, glass, textiles, concrete) and a physical prototype.
Tangible output
A product concept, 3D model and renderings, manufacturing drawings, a prototype and a demand test.
Example
Upea Puu: concept → product design → prototype → production → online shop → Habitare fair → feedback.
How long it takes
Concept & Visualize Sprint 1–2 days. Prototype and tests by scope.
Questions
Straight answers.
How do you test demand for a product before manufacturing?
Show the product as concept images or 3D visualisations and ask for a clear action: a pre-order, an email or a quote request. A physical prototype at a fair or pop-up tells you more once first interest is confirmed.
What is the difference between a prototype and an MVP?
A prototype tests whether a solution works and what it looks like. An MVP tests whether customers really buy and use it. A prototype can be unfinished; an MVP must work well enough to give the customer value.
What is an MVP?
An MVP (minimum viable product) is the smallest version of a product or service that shows whether customers buy and use it. An MVP can be a web page, a manually delivered service or a small batch of products – it doesn't have to be software.
